The last couple of months have been very stressful and I feel like I am in need of a break to rest and rejuvenate me. It has to be said that I’m not really in the mood for airports as I find the checking in procedure too much of a hassle. Recent news about terrorism and and threats to security at airports have left me weary of flying. I thought that it would be a much safer bet to take my break in England this year. Usually when I think of places to visit in Britain I shudder at the thought of getting soaked by the rain in a middle of a field somewhere.

 

Well, I thought I’d risk it. I thought what could possibly happen if I planned well? After researching a variety of places to visit in Britain I have eventually settled on the planning my break this year on the Isle of Wight. After spending my time surfing the internet I thought that the island of The Isle Of Wight would be a perfect location to travel around by bike. I thought i would take my camera along while sightseeing what has become know as ‘Little England’. Perfect for visiting all year around The Isle Of White has a mild subtropical climate making the weather on the island sunny and warm and ideal for a visit the year round.

 

The great thing about the Isle Of Wight is that it is great for meeting friends as all of it’s towns are resort towns. Many of the nice cottages and guest houses at the disposal of tourists cater well for visitors. I have booked a cottage for three because as a bonus this year I have ordered some tickets for myself and my friends to attend this years Bestival rock music festival. We are all planning to travel down by car and taking the IOW ferry across the solent from Southampton. Anyhow the trip should be memorable and i’ll be keeping you posted on how it goes.!
