Vacations are a designated time of relaxation for individuals, friends, or family. To help relax the vacationer, many rentals include special features. Such things as spas, pools or Jacuzzis are good examples of water elements of relaxation. Fire elements also contribute to relaxation. A fireplace setting or a bonfire on a beach can even be the spark that kindles a romance for single vacationers. Because of the calming effect of fire, many vacation spots are adding fire pits to the attractions they offer.

Fire pits may be added to an outdoor patio, backyard, common area, or terrace. There are plenty of places with rooftop decks that have fire pits installed in order to offer guests a place to congregate around a warm relaxing fire. Of course, there may also be more intimate occasions of communion that take place under the stars, while the vacationers are under the influence of the fire, the moon, their wine, and the euphoria of the moment. Fire pits provide an atmosphere that promotes conversation and interaction between individuals. Vacation rentals do everything they can to help their guests relax and feel at home. More and more are realizing that fire pits are an ingredient they can add that contributes to the  enjoyment and ease of their visitors.

Fire pits are available in a variety of shapes, material, finishes, and sizes. One can find a fire pit for just about any space that they desire to fill. A bigger area will be perfect for a table pit. The table pit design includes a heat-resistant table surrounding the pit, ideal for dining and conversation around the fire. Guests may place their warm beverages on the table next to the fire and the beverages will remain warmer longer. Chairs may also be carefully arranged around the table pit for maximum enjoyment. Table pits are priced from a thousand dollars and up, depending on the style, material, and finish of the table. Tower fire pits are models that are taller than the table pits and are made for standing around. These styles encourage mingling between individuals or groups of vacationers.

Besides the table and tower fire pits, most types of pits are two feet or less in height. In general, pits are circular in shape, but there are also square ones. Mesh covers are included in each fire pit to keep flames in and other objects out. This wire mesh serves as a safety precaution to protect guests. Many of the smaller pits range from 24 to 45 inches in diameter. One can expect to pay anywhere from fifty dollars to seven hundred dollars. Of course, prices depend upon the size, finish and material of the fire pit. Any vacation rental will benefit from a fire pit.
