A wide variety of exhibitions and meetings take place at the Fira Barcelona Congress Centre and Fairgrounds. If you’re coming to the city for business, there’s a good chance you might find yourself here. If you do, there is an assortment of areas that are just a few minutes on the underground away and offer some superb self-catering Barcelona apartments.

The complex is based just off the Placa de Espanya, which is one of the most important squares in the city. Many of the city’s most important roads intersect here, which makes it a very accessible point.

There are a few Barcelona apartments in the immediate vicinity to cater for those visiting the congress centre. They also house a few people who have come to witness the Placa de Espanya itself and the music and light show of the Magic Fountain. Others want to be close to the Palau Nacional, the museum of Catalan art.

Instead, you should try to pick out a Barcelona apartment in the city centre. With all of the facilities and tourist spots that the city centre provides, you’ll regret it if you don’t rent here. You never know, if you come on a particularly busy week you might not have any other choice. But don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed.

 

If you are used to upscale places then you should try renting your accommodation in the lower Eixample area. Not only is this one of the closer areas to the Congress Centre, it is also one of the classier places in the city. Therefore, it is well suited to the expectations of the business-type.

As you would expect from one of the more upscale areas, it is common to find some classy establishments. The restaurants and cultural attractions are among the best found anywhere in the city. You’ll also find the Sant Antoni subdivision in Eixample, and it’s even closer to the Congress Centre. So, there could be a chance that you will find somewhere within walking distance.

The transport connections in Barcelona are so good that you can even base yourself a bit further out. This will give you more options on where to stay depending on the kind of trip you are after. The bus and rail routes in the city take you around all of the most notable areas, and the congress centre is one of them.

If you are booking at the last minute, you may find options are not something you have many of. But one place you can always look to is the Arc de Triomf area. This is a mainly residential area with lots of ex-homes acting as apartment buildings. It certainly isn’t the most expensive area of the town, but it’s definitely not the worst.

And if you happen to have some free time, Arc de Triomf if is in an ideal position to allow you to walk to the majority of the city’s best-loved sites. For shopping the AvingudaDiagonal is not far away, and neither is the cathedral.

The Parc de la Ciutadella is also close by, where you can get away from the stress of the day. Go for a walk amongst the garden or sit by the lake. Whatever you do, you’re bound to find it one of the most relaxing places in the city.

If you are in Barcelona for a conference or exhibition at the congress centre, renting an apartment could be the most convenient accommodation option. A wide selection of the lovely apartments that Barcelona has to offer are within just a short metro ride away. So, you don’t have to travel too far after a long day at business, and there will be a clean and comfortable room waiting on your return.
